Episode 13: Elspeth Summers

cover

Here’s episode 13 with Elspeth Summers!

Elspeth stopped by the studio recently and we had a great conversation about her music and her self-produced album Round & Round.

Elspeth performed the following songs live in the studio at the end of this episode:

“Round & Round”

“Lemuria”

Here’s a little info about the 23 year old singer / songwriter from her website:

This passionate Americana, Folk, and Indie-styled artist has a well-traveled sound, having toured across the West Coast, correlating with over 50 different musicians, and playing at numerous events, including Stars of Tomorrow, California Coast Music Camp, and McCloud Mountain Bluegrass Festival.

After nearly a two year hiatus Elspeth Summers returns with her self-produced album, Round and Round. This album brings a magical insightfulness into the realms of love, authenticity, and environmentalism. Her powerful voice and unique folk style are highlighted more than ever with the use of harmony, instrumentation, spoken word, and her signature ethereal songwriting.

Her message is simple: Love yourself, Mother Earth, and all others with all your Heart and Soul.

You can find her music on iTunes and Bandcamp or through her website http://www.elspethsummers.com

Keep up with future shows on her Facebook and Twitter.

The beginning banjo part of the track “Sirens” is featured at the end of this episode.

Thanks for listening!
